Activities for Kids in Mexico City

• Parque México & Parque España (Condesa)

  Wide, shaded spaces ideal for walking, biking, or playing. There are areas with playgrounds, slides, and swings. Plenty of families with kids and pets visit on weekends.

• Parque Lincoln (Polanco)

  In addition to its playground and fountains, on Sundays you can watch little boats sailing in the reflecting pools. There are many family-friendly cafes nearby.

• Chapultepec Forest (Sections 1 & 2)

  One of the largest urban parks in the world. Recommended:

  • Visit the zoo and paddle in the lake boats

  • Explore the Museum of Natural History

  • Walk around Los Pinos (former presidential residence)

  • Visit the Children's Museum (Papalote Museo del Niño) and the Aztlán amusement park

• Parque Bicentenario (Azcapotzalco)

  Huge and peaceful, with bike paths, picnic areas, a sensory garden, and even a butterfly pavilion. There's a playground and enough shade to rest.

• Papalote Museo del Niño

• A classic! Designed for kids with interactive and hands-on exhibits. Ideal for ages 3 and up.

• Museo de Arte Popular

  Very visual and full of color. Great to introduce kids to Mexican crafts and traditions. Not too big, so they won’t get too tired.

• Universum – UNAM Science Museum

  South of the city, full of interactive science experiences. There’s a space for young children and various exhibits that encourage curiosity.

• Soumaya & Jumex Museums (Polanco)

  While not specifically for children, their architecture and collections are striking and often engaging for little ones (short visits recommended). Jumex has a terrace café and workshop space.
